Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GMC Checker ("the Service"), operated through gmccheck.com and the GMC Checker Shopify app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

GMC Checker crawls publicly accessible storefronts and evaluates signals relevant to Google Merchant Center compliance. The Service may provide a free scan, a paid Store Fix Plan, connected Shopify and Merchant Center diagnosis, proposed fixes, and review-readiness guidance.

Storefront scanning can be used with any public store URL. Automated fixes are available only for Shopify stores connected through the Shopify Admin API.

3. Accounts, Authorization, and Store Access

A free scan does not require an account, although you provide a store URL and email address. The connected agent workflow requires an account and any applicable connection permissions.

If you connect Shopify, you authorize the Service to use the scopes disclosed in our Privacy Policy: read_products, write_products, read_content, and write_content. The Service can propose changes to product metadata and store pages, including policy pages. It will not execute a Shopify write until you approve the specific proposed change in the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have authority to scan a storefront, connect an account, and approve changes to the relevant store.

4. Google Merchant Center Integration

If you connect a Google Merchant Center account, you authorize read access through Google OAuth for connected diagnosis. The Service does not create, edit, delete, or upload Merchant Center products, feeds, campaigns, or account settings. You can revoke Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

5. Pricing and Payment

The Store Fix Plan is a one-time purchase processed by Polar. The Shopify app's managed pricing is processed through Shopify Billing. Current prices and any applicable terms are shown before purchase. We do not store payment-card details.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses Google, Shopify, Clerk, Polar, Neon, Trigger.dev, Vercel AI Gateway, Resend, PostHog, Vercel, and Vercel Analytics to operate the Service. Their roles and the information processed are described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scan a website without authorization.
  • Attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions.
  • Use the Service to submit malicious URLs or compromise our systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or sublicense the Service except as allowed by law.

8. Reports, Guidance, and Proposed Fixes

Reports, AI-generated analysis, fix guidance, and proposed changes are advisory. They are not legal advice and do not guarantee Merchant Center approval, reinstatement, or any commercial outcome. You must review each proposed change and remain responsible for your store, content, legal obligations, and decisions to apply changes.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, rules, analysis methods, interface, and branding, is owned by GMC Checker or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use reports and guidance for your own store.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GMC Checker is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, Merchant Center suspensions, rejections, or reliance on reports or guidance. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or to protect the Service and its users.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
